Blackburn developed the Outpost Bike & Camp headlamp with that specific need in mind. Additionally, they installed a silicone "lampshade" over the light source that can allow you to bring the light down to a soft ambient glow, should the mood strike you. On or off the bike, in or out of camp, this light is meant to provide you with the extra versatility you need to focus on the task at hand, by getting up to 400 lumens of light out of your hands, and onto your forehead.

The Outpost Bike & Camp light smartly solves this problem by employing a retractable retention cable to get the light on your head, so you can focus on the task at hand.

Mounts to Bike or Head: The unmatched versatility of the Bike & Camp Light allows you choose where you want the light. This light can mount to your bars, clip to the outside of your bags, or attach to your head to give you a variety of choices for where your light comes from.

Silicone Light Shade: Soften the light emitting from the lamp for quieter times around camp by sliding down the shade. The flexible silicone ring diffuses the focused beam of the Bike & Camp Light to make reading in the tent a pleasure instead of a pain.

IP-65: Ingress protection rating or 'IP rating', is a techy way to describe the level of water and dust proofness a product has. This light meets the IP-65 standard, which means is totally protected against dust/grit and is fully resist strong jets of water from all directions.

Meets ANSI FL-1 Standard: This standard was created by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to provide consistent performance measurements for handheld lights.
